One thing that has always amazed me is the ability of people to entertain with something that is really unique. Perhaps we always think about somebody who sings or dances when we think of entertainers, or maybe we think about our favorite actor or actress. Although they certainly do have a lot to offer when it comes to entertainment, it surely doesn’t stop with those few options. The world is full of people who do some incredible things in areas that we may not ever give attention to until we see them. This includes some forms of entertainment that may have been popular years ago but have since died out for the most part.

One type of entertainment that is worth your attention is ventriloquism. At one time, hundreds of years ago, people thought that the voices were coming out of the individual’s stomach, or they may have even thought it was an evil practice but today, we realize that a ventriloquist is just able to make noises without moving their lips. It’s a dying art, but it is one that some people pick up and run with. This includes a teenager named Darci Lynne Farmer. Not only is she a ventriloquist, she has become quite famous after winning America’s Got Talent in 2017. She ended up with a golden buzzer during her first audition and never looked back since.

In the video below, you get to see Darci doing what she does best. She is holding a ventriloquist dummy and they are singing ‘Something’s Got a Hold on Me’ together. The performance happened on the Kelly Clarkson show and she was there for a special performance.

As a ventriloquist, you might feel as if people don’t really respect the talent that you have. Admittedly, most people would probably be more interested in hearing somebody singing or watching them dance. After you get a taste of what this teenager is able to do with the ventriloquist dummy, however, you might just have to change your perception.
