“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” reached the number-14 position on the Billboard charts in 1960 and regained popularity in 1990 when it was featured in the hit film Home Alone.
In 2023, Lee’s version of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” peaked at the number-one position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, 65 years after its release. At age 79, Lee became the oldest person to have a number-one single.
On December 7, Lee joined country legend Wynonna Judd during NBC’s Christmas at the Opry special for an upbeat performance of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” that’ll get you in the holiday spirit.
