New Cruella de Vil is here! BGT winner Sydnie Christmas joins London’s 101 Dalmatians musical as the iconic villain

This summer, the legendary villain Cruella de Vil returns to the stage and this time, she’ll be brought to life by none other than Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas. The rising star will take on the iconic role in the upcoming London run of 101 Dalmatians: The Musical at the Eventim Apollo, playing from 18 July to 30 August 2025.

Sydnie’s powerful vocals and unforgettable stage presence won her the BGT crown and earned her a standing ovation at the Royal Variety Performance, where she performed in front of King Charles III. Since then, her debut album My Way has topped iTunes charts in both the UK and US. She’s also recently wowed audiences at a sold-out show in New York and performed at David Foster’s 75th birthday celebration at the Hollywood Bowl.

Now, she’s stepping into the glamorous, wicked shoes of Cruella de Vil. “I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this iconic character,” Sydnie shared. “There’s a bit of me that I see in Cruella, so I’m excited to see her evolve…”

Sydnie’s theatre experience includes roles in Lazarus – The David Bowie Musical in London and Starlight Express in Germany, adding depth to her dynamic return to the UK stage. Watch the video below.

The show follows the thrilling journey of Pongo and Perdi, two determined Dalmatians fighting to save their puppies from the fashion-obsessed Cruella. The musical blends excitement, heart, and humor, all brought to life with brilliant puppetry, colorful choreography, and original songs.
