“America’s Got Talent” winner Darci Lynne Farmer will follow up her Las Vegas headlining stint with a homecoming show.
The singing ventriloquist from Oklahoma City will perform in Bricktown Saturday, Dec. 16 at The Criterion, 500 E Sheridan Ave.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster or by phone at (800) 745-3000.
As previously reported, Darci Lynne, who recently turned 13, emerged as a front-runner on Season 12 of “America’s Got Talent” from the premiere episode, consistently wowing the judging panel, the television audience and seemingly the entire Internet with her big-voiced performances featuring her puppet pals. The Oklahoma native performs with an array of puppets, including Petunia the bunny diva, Oscar the awkward mouse and sassy senior citizen Edna Doorknocker.
Darci won the highly rated NBC talent contest on Sept. 20, earning the $1 million grand prize and a Las Vegas headlining opportunity. As previously reported, she will headline her promised Vegas stand Thursday through Sunday, performing four shows at the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. She was originally booked just for Friday and Saturday of this weekend, but the scheduled was expanded to Thursday and Sunday, too.
Also as previously reported, the reigning “AGT” champion made a couple of high-profile hometown appearances last month, performing the national anthem before an OKC Energy FC soccer game and playing the halftime show for the OKC Thunder’s season opener vs. the New York Knicks. (Check out the video of her Thunder halftime show below.)
But her Criterion concert will be her first standalone public performance since she won “AGT.”
iHeartMEDIA is presenting the “Darci Lynne Homecoming Show,” according to a news release, with local radio station KJ103’s morning show personalities TJ, Janet and JRod hosting.
