How Old Was Darci Lynne When She Won America’s Got Talent?

Darci Lynne changed her entire life in a huge way when she was only 12 years old.

WATCH: 12-year-old singing ventriloquist shocks 'America's Got Talent' judges with her voice

At that young age, Darci auditioned for the 12th season of America’s Got Talent. Her talent…singing while performing ventriloquy at the same time.

Darci amazed the judges with her performance. They couldn’t believe how she could sing in character as her puppet, Petunia, without ever opening her mouth.

Judge Mel B gave Darci her golden buzzer. Her outstanding audition and golden buzzer moment went viral online, with millions of people watching it. Darci’s audition is still referenced as one of the greatest moments in AGT history.

Darci continued to stun the AGT judges and viewers with each subsequent performance. That’s why it came as no surprise when she was named the winner of the season.

She was still only 12 years old at the time (her 13th birthday was a few weeks later). The young singer and ventriloquist later placed second on the first season of AGT: The Champions in 2019.

How Old Is AGT Winner Darci Lynne Now?

Darci continues to maintain a busy schedule. She hosted her own Christmas special, tours all over the country, and often returns to perform on AGT as a guest. Viewers remain amazed by her talent and how it develops over time.

For those who remember Darci as the 12-year-old girl who won AGT, it’s hard to believe how fast she’s grown up! She celebrated her 20th birthday in October 2024.

Darci maintains an active presence on social media. So those who follow her have watched her grow up through the years. But in case you haven’t checked in on Darci in a while, here are a few of her newest photos

She Showcased A New Side Of Herself On The AGT Spin-Off, Fantasy League

Even more recently, Darci competed on the new AGT spin-off series, Fantasy League. Heidi Klum chose her for her team.

Darci wanted to “show a new side” of herself in her performance. Now that she’s older, she wants the world to know her for more than just ventriloquy.

In an unexpected twist, Darci set her beloved bunny puppet, Petunia, aside. She stepped away to sing on her own and play guitar. Though this isn’t the first time she’s done so, it was still a huge surprise to the AGT judges and audience.

But she continued to occasionally sing as Petunia, all while keeping her mouth closed! Check out that performance below.

No matter how much time passes, Darci continues to amaze people with her talent!
