Darci Lynne Farmer\u00a0is back on\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent: The Champions<\/em>!<\/p>\n

Though she was eliminated, the 14-year-old ventriloquist singer from Oklahoma was given a second chance Monday night as one of two wildcard contestants for the finals. (Magician and former NFL star Jon Dorenbos was also welcomed back.)<\/p>\n

Farmer, who won season 12 of\u00a0AGT<\/em>\u00a0in 2017, shocked the judges with her first-ever opera performance on the show.\u00a0Simon Cowell\u00a0even said, \u201cIt\u2019s hard enough at your age to sing opera, but you\u2019re doing it through a rabbit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teen also brought back her beloved puppet Petunia to help her quest to be named the best in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel really lucky. Just to have a second chance at it, it\u2019s awesome,\u201d Farmer tells PEOPLE of her return, adding that when producers called her about being a wildcard she was \u201covercome with joy, I was like, \u2018Are you serious?\u2019 It was super duper exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

And opera was Farmer\u2019s secret weapon for the finals. \u201cI\u2019ve done that a couple times before and thought it\u2019s the best finale performance,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cOpera is definitely challenging. It\u2019s probably one of the most impressive things I\u2019ve done in my ventriloquism career,\u201d Farmer shares. \u201cI would love to do it more, it impresses and it\u2019s fun to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

The star adds, \u201cI definitely like to keep the audience on their toes and anticipating a surprise factor of my performance. Just to see their faces when I do my thing is awesome. I enjoy that part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farmer also told viewers about her nerves from the\u00a0Champions<\/em>\u00a0audition, which wasn\u2019t enough to make it to the finals, losing the fan vote to Cristina Ramos.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst round of\u00a0AGT: The Champions<\/em>\u00a0was crazy. All of the butterflies from the very first audition just came back like 10 times worse,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe chance of winning that title was gone. Then I got the call to be a wildcard. I am grateful to have another chance to win this competition but it\u2019s also terrifying,\u201d she said. \u201cHow may I going to come back and blow the roof off the place? I would definitely consider Petunia to be my lucky charm. She helped me get the Golden Buzzer and she helped me win season 12. She is a diva and she likes to win.\u201d<\/p>\n
