He was there from the very start of the episode: In the cold open sketch, Fallon claims he can do a backflip like Boone, but when he tries, he ends up just crashing into a food-covered table.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with Fallon, he also discussed the origin of his \u201cmoonbeam ice cream\u201d lyric from \u201cMystical Magical,\u201d explaining:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI write pretty much everything, me and this guy Jack [LaFrantz]. We are very unserious when we\u2019re together. When we work, even the song I\u2019m singing tonight, \u2018Momma Song,\u2019 it\u2019s a very serious song, but that session the day we wrote that song, you would\u2019ve thought we were trying to not write \u2018Momma Song.\u2019 We connect so well, and we were just kind of having a day. [\u2026] As we get on through the session, we kind of came to what\u2019s called writer\u2019s block, and it\u2019s when you have a melody already, but, you cannot think of a lyric.<\/p>\n<p>Jack\u2019s sitting there, and we\u2019re kind of goofing off, and he just goes, \u2018You know, what if you just did this?\u2019 And it looked like he was gonna say something really good, and we\u2019ve been sitting there for an hour, I\u2019m like, \u2018This is it,\u2019 and he goes, \u2018Moonbeam ice cream \/ Taking off your blue jeans.\u2019 [\u2026] It\u2019s a placeholder, at least. [\u2026] It was a placeholder for the day, and then we went home and listened to it, and I was like, \u2018You know what? Moonbeam ice cream.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the chat, he fulfilled Fallon\u2019s to do a backflip off his desk.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere during the show, he performed his touching recent single \u201cMomma Song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there\u2019s one thing Benson Boone knows how to do, it\u2019s make us feel something.
