By now, everyone knows about Susan Boyle\u2019s\u00a0breakout audition on\u00a0Britain\u2019s Got Talent\u00a0<\/em>in 2009, when she sang \u201cI Dreamed a Dream\u201d from\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables.\u00a0<\/em>It\u2019s arguably one of the most\u00a0viral singing performances of all time. The audition put Boyle on the map, and as then-BGT\u00a0<\/em>Judge Simon Cowell said, helped \u201cchange the rulebook\u201d of pop stardom.<\/p>\n

Boyle isn\u2019t the only\u00a0Got Talent\u00a0<\/em>alum\u00a0to try her hand at \u201cI Dreamed a Dream.\u201d Singing ventriloquist\u00a0Darci Lynne\u00a0also took a crack at the tune a few years back\u2014totally a cappella. And she crushed it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHi guys, I\u2019m in my garage,\u201d Lynne said in the video. \u201cI recently watched\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>\u00a0online\u2026and now it\u2019s stuck in my head, so I\u2019m gonna sing it for you guys. Here we go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynne stood out in her inaugural\u00a0AGT<\/em>\u00a0season with her\u00a0unbelievable ventriloquism act. Not since\u00a0Terry Fator\u00a0had the show featured such a skilled ventriloquist. But in the years following,\u00a0Lynne has established herself\u00a0as quite the talented singer\u2014without<\/em> a puppet.<\/p>\n

Darci Lynne wants to be an all-around entertainer<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Now that she\u2019s 19 and coming into her own as an artist, Darci Lynne wants to be seen as more than just the \u201cventriloquist girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a 2017 interview with her local newspaper,\u00a0The Oklahoman<\/em>, Lynne opened up about her career aspirations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really want to be known as just the puppet girl or just a singing ventriloquist,\u201d she confessed. \u201cI want to be known as the performer, singer, ventriloquist, actress, Broadway star, all of it. I want to do it all.\u201d<\/p>\n
