After running \u2014 and flipping \u2014 through his most beloved songs, the 22-year-old pop singer announced that his sophomore album, American Heart, will be out June 20. He then paid homage to the late Queen frontman by performing Mercury\u2019s iconic Live Aid call-and-response before singing his own song, \u201cForever and a Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"Ad9wqpAz\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/benson-boone-coachella-2025-billboard-1548.jpg?w=942&amp;h=623&amp;crop=1\" alt=\"Coachella 2025: Benson Boone, Brian May Perform 'Bohemian Rhapsody'\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But it turned out that Boone\u2019s \u201cAy-Oh\u201d cover was just a tease for the show-stopping performance that ended his set. After leaving the stage, he returned wearing a royal fur cape and began playing \u201cBohemian Rhapsody\u201d on the piano with a choir singing behind him. Gonna treasure this moment on the plane with @bensonboone \u2014 a truly golden 22-year-old prodigy. And all of a sudden, out of the blue, I didn\u2019t have any control over [my left] arm. So it\u2019s a little scary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boone went viral during the 2025 Grammy Awards in February when he adjusted his, well, beautiful things after his performance at the ceremony. The former American Idol contestant, who was nominated for Best New Artist and lost to Chappell Roan, later posted an apology for fixing his crotch through his jumpsuit after doing a flip at the end
