Darci Lynne\u00a0is all grown up \u2014 and tired of kissing frogs!<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>\u00a0alum, 19, is on the hunt for a love interest actually worth pursuing in her new single \u201cSomeone Wake Me Up,\u201d for which PEOPLE is exclusively premiering the new lyric video.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m almost 20 years old, so I\u2019ve had my fair share of dates and boys,\u201d Lynne tells PEOPLE. \u201cIt\u2019s safe to say I\u2019ve almost lost hope for something real, but this song is hopeful. I hope people listen and believe in true love like I still do!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Oklahoma native wrote the relatable track with Shane Henry and Maggie McClure, with whom she also penned\u00a0her debut single\u00a0\u201cPush Our Luck,\u201d which came out in February.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve really been diving into my sound and \u2018Someone Wake Me Up\u2019 specifically leans more \u2018pop\u2019 than the country vibe of \u2018Push Our Luck,\u2019\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m still experimenting when it comes to what I write and I\u2019m excited to bring people with me as I do!\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s been teasing the track on Instagram for her 1.2 million followers, and earlier this month sat down at the piano for a stripped-down version of the track.<\/p>\n

The singer and ventriloquist \u2014 who rose to fame as the youngest contestant to ever win\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent\u00a0<\/em>in 2017 \u2014\u00a0told PEOPLE in February\u00a0that she started writing music during the COVID lockdowns, and it quickly became something she was \u201csuper passionate\u201d about.<\/p>\n

Lynne was just 12 years old when she won America\u2019s hearts on the NBC talent show, and she returned to the show earlier this year to compete on\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent: Fantasy League<\/em>.<\/p>\n
